Accommodation

The cottage has a sitting room and kitchen downstairs, and three bedrooms and a bathroom with shower upstairs. For full size photographs click on the thumbnail images below.

The property accommodates five people comfortably, with a maximum permitted occupancy of six, two of whom must be children under 10 years old. Heating and hot water are provided by a newly fitted electric central heating system with radiators in all the rooms and there is also a wood-burning stove in the living room for added warmth and atmosphere The cottage does not have a telephone, but there is a public telephone about a mile away in Powburn. Mobile reception is limited, coverage includes Orange, O2 and Vodaphone but not T Mobile. Please check with your provider-postcode is NE66 4LW.

Parking for one car is on the street immediately outside the property. An additional car may be parked on land around the corner, adjacent to Branton Church House and the school.

One dog over the age of 12 months is permitted, as long as it is fully house trained, remains downstairs at all times, and is not likely to damage the property in any way. Please note that smoking is not permitted in the cottage at any time. No other pets are permitted.

Stone walled cottage kitchen, with old pine furniture (table and benches for 4-6 people) and Jerusalem stone floor; Belfast sink; dishwasher; electric cooker with two ovens; fridge with proper freezer compartment; microwave; fully equipped pine corner unit containing china, cafetiere, knife block, baking utensils, stick blender, scales etc.; washing machine (non bio liquid provided); basic provisions including tea and coffee, oils and seasoning, flour, sugar.
